North Central Texas College has announced the launch of its "Banking on the Red River Promise" campaign, a five-year fundraising initiative targeting $25,000 through strategic partnerships with local financial institutions.
The campaign aims to expand access to higher education and strengthen the regional workforce through NCTC's Red River Promise program. Several local banks have already pledged their support for the initiative, which provides comprehensive educational support for students in Cooke County, Montague County, and Graham ISD.
The Red River Promise program covers tuition and fees for qualifying high school graduates from partner school districts for up to two years or 60 credit hours. Students also receive support services designed to help them achieve their educational goals and contribute to the regional workforce.
Local financial institutions are being invited to participate in the campaign as strategic partners, supporting the college's mission to build a stronger college-going culture in the region. The banking partnerships represent a collaborative approach to addressing workforce development needs in North Central Texas.
NCTC officials emphasized the program's focus on producing well-educated graduates to strengthen both regional and statewide workforce development. The Red River Promise initiative has already established partnerships with 14 area school districts, including several in Cooke County.
The fundraising campaign comes as NCTC continues expanding its programs and services across its seven campus locations. The college, which is the oldest continuously operating two-year college in Texas, serves students throughout North Central Texas with locations in Gainesville, Denton, Corinth, Flower Mound, Bowie, Graham, and Alliance.
