GISD students earn honors at Cooke County Livestock Show

GAINESVILLE, Texas — Gainesville ISD students earned recognition at the annual Cooke County Livestock Show, with participants from across the district demonstrating their agricultural skills and months of preparation. The livestock show, a highlight of the county's agricultural calendar, featured students from area schools competing in various categories including market animals and breeding stock. GISD FFA and 4-H members represented the district across multiple livestock divisions. The Cooke County Livestock Show provides students with hands-on experience in animal husbandry, business management and public speaking. Participants spend months preparing their animals for competition, learning valuable lessons about responsibility and agricultural practices along the way.
