Gainesville had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it seven. They had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Caddo Mills Foxes. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Leopards couldn't push the score so high this time.As for Caddo Mills, they now have a winning record of 4-3. The final result isn't all that surprising considering their considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Gainesville is ranked 819th). Caddo Mills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Watson, who rushed for 186 yards and two scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Those 186 rushing yards gave Watson a new career-high. Caddo Mills also got help from Tristan Hardwell, who showed off his sure hands for 95 receiving yards. We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon.
