Valley View PTO Hosting Reindeer Fun Run and 5K in December

VALLEY VIEW, Texas – The Valley View PTO will host the Reindeer Fun Run 5K and Little Reindeer Run on Saturday, December 20, at the Bob Andrew Agricultural Sciences Building, 700 S. Lee Street, with activities running from 9 a.m. to noon. The main event, the Reindeer Fun Run 5K, begins at 9 a.m. and is open to participants ages 12 and older. The $35 registration fee includes an event shirt, reindeer antlers, and post-race food and drinks. Runners who register by December 5 will receive a guaranteed event shirt. The Little Reindeer Run offers a half-mile course suitable for all ages, with a $15 registration fee that includes antlers and post-race refreshments. This shorter distance provides an accessible option for younger children and families wanting to participate together. All proceeds from both races benefit the Valley View PTO, supporting teachers and students throughout the district. The organization uses fundraising revenue to enhance educational programs, classroom resources, and student activities. The festive event features holiday costumes, music, and celebrations designed for family participation.
