NTMC Health Complete Care is opening a new Family Counseling Clinic in Gainesville on Aug. 10 to expand local mental health and recovery services.

GAINESVILLE, Texas — NTMC Health Complete Care is launching a new specialized Family Counseling Clinic in Gainesville this month, introducing comprehensive behavioral health services and outpatient substance abuse recovery resources to Cooke County. The new facility is located at 1902 Hospital Blvd. in Gainesville, occupying the building space previously utilized by DaVita Dialysis. The clinic will officially begin welcoming patients on Aug. 10. The clinic will offer structured, evidence-based outpatient counseling tailored to individuals and families across all age groups. Specialized clinical offerings include individual therapy for children, teens, and adults; family counseling; play therapy for young children; specialized support for anxiety, depression, and stress regulation; complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder treatment; and outpatient chemical dependency recovery services. Hospital leadership emphasized that integrating behavioral health into primary healthcare offerings helps close long-standing gaps in local continuity of care. "True health extends far beyond physical wellness; it requires dedicated, compassionate care for the mind and spirit," said NTMC CEO Tom Sledge. "With the launch of the Family Counseling Clinic, we are addressing a critical demand for structured behavioral health and substance abuse intervention right here in our community. Our goal is to break down barriers to care and provide a safe space for healing." The Family Counseling Clinic operates on a scheduled outpatient basis and is in the process of finalizing contracts with most major health insurance plans. Uninsured patients may utilize self-pay cash options at the time of clinical visits. Hospital officials noted that the clinic is not a behavioral health crisis intervention facility; individuals experiencing an immediate mental health emergency should contact 911 or visit a hospital emergency department immediately. Appointments for the clinic can be scheduled by contacting NTMC Health Complete Care.
