GAINESVILLE, Texas — A $1.2 million amenity center is planned for the Liberty Pointe development on Olympia Street, according to a state filing, as new homes go up nearby. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation registered the project on July 9 as TABS2026024858, "Liberty Pointe Amenity Center," at 3406 Olympia Street in Gainesville. The filing lists about 10,000 square feet of new construction, privately funded, at an estimated cost of $1,200,000. The listed construction dates run from Aug. 1, 2026, to Sept. 30, 2027. TDLR shows its accessibility plan review as complete. The owner is listed as Lackland Liberty Pointe Development LLC of Fort Worth. The designer is Whole System Studio of Dallas. City permit records show work at the same address. The city's July report lists commercial new construction permit COMNEW-04022026-0025 at 3406 Olympia St., issued July 30, along with two commercial trade permits there in mid-July. Home building continues on the street. In July, the city issued new-home permits for 3412, 3505, 3507 and 3509 Olympia. In September, it issued permits for 3511, 3513 and 3515 Olympia, plus a flatwork permit for 3414 Olympia. The TDLR filing describes the building only as an amenity center. It does not list features such as a pool or clubhouse, and it does not say who will be able to use it. It also does not give an opening date beyond the September 2027 completion estimate.
