Lindsay FFA members advance to state in farm business management

LINDSAY, Texas — Four Lindsay FFA members are headed to the state competition after placing second at the Area level in the Farm Business Management Career Development Event. Eli Fuhrmann, Sam Bell, Brian Fuhrmann, and Jaret Dulock earned their state bid at the Area contest held in Commerce, adding another state qualification to what has become a consistent run of success for the Lindsay FFA program. Farm Business Management CDEs test students on real-world agricultural finance skills — analyzing farm records, interpreting financial statements, and making production decisions based on economic data. Placing at Area is a significant hurdle, with teams from across the region competing for one of a limited number of state slots. The state competition will bring the Lindsay team up against qualifiers from across Texas.
