GAINESVILLE, Texas — The City of Gainesville will host a public workshop on street improvements next month, giving residents a chance to learn how projects are prioritized and what repairs entail.
The workshop, scheduled for Saturday, February 14 at 8 a.m. at the Civic Center, is the second event in the city's Talk of the Town series designed to engage residents on municipal topics.
City staff will review the overall process behind street projects, including how streets are selected for maintenance and improvements, the types of repairs used, and associated costs. A discussion and Q&A session will follow the presentation, allowing residents to ask specific questions and better understand project timelines.
No prior knowledge is required to attend. The city encourages residents to bring their curiosity and interest in learning more about how local government works.
The Talk of the Town series aims to create opportunities for direct dialogue between city staff and residents on topics that affect daily life in Gainesville.
The workshop will be held at the Gainesville Civic Center, 311 S. Weaver St. For more information, contact the City of Gainesville Communication & Outreach office at 940-668-4500.
