Sights & Sounds fundraiser returns to NCTC April 11

The Cooke County Arts Council hosts its annual Sights and Sounds fundraiser on April 11 at NCTC's First State Bank Center, featuring the Gainesville Swing Orchestra, children's chorus, and local artists.

GAINESVILLE, Texas — The Cooke County Arts Council will host its annual Sights and Sounds fundraiser on April 11 at 6 p.m. at North Central Texas College's First State Bank Center for Performing Arts. The evening supports student scholarships and features a lineup of local performing and visual arts. The Gainesville Swing Orchestra headlines the event with classic Beatles music reimagined for big band. The Dolce Canto Children's Chorus, directed by Susan Beall, will sing selections from their spring program, while the North Central Texas Chorale, directed by Clint Kelley, will perform "A Journey to Hope," a spiritual cantata. Butterfield Stage Players round out the bill with a musical comedy skit. A visual arts exhibition from local artists will be on display during the opening reception, accompanied by appetizers from Mom's Donut Shop. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and children at the door. Advance tickets are available through Cooke County Arts Council members.
