GAINESVILLE, Texas — Several Cooke County farms sell beef, dairy, eggs, produce, and more directly to neighbors and visitors, offering an alternative to grocery chains for shoppers who want to know exactly where their food comes from.
Circle N Family Dairy
A third-generation operation that has been milking cows four miles west of Gainesville since 1967, Circle N Family Dairy runs a Country Store at 2074 County Road 446, off Highway 82 West toward Lindsay.
Products include raw milk, cream, Greek yogurt, sour cream, artisan cheese, homemade ice cream, free-range eggs, grass-fed Angus beef, pork, and local raw honey. Christian Family Farms
Located at 84 Turner Ln in Gainesville, Christian Family Farms raises its own beef, pork, chicken, and lamb and also stocks products from neighboring local producers — including produce, baked goods, dairy, and specialty goods.

Muenster Grass Fed
A family ranching operation in Muenster with roots going back to 1901, Muenster Grass Fed sells 100% grass-finished Angus beef in quarter, half, and whole share packages, dry-aged 14–21 days with no hormones or routine antibiotics. Lavender Ridge Farms
For fresh-cut flowers and farm-made specialty products, Lavender Ridge Farms at 2391 County Road 178 in Gainesville has operated as a working lavender, cut-flower, and herb farm on the same family’s land for more than 150 years. The farm café and gift shop are open Friday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March through October. Lavender typically begins blooming in late May.
