POTTSBORO, Texas — Preston Volunteer Emergency Services (PVES) will hold its Eighth Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Tanglewood Golf Course in Pottsboro to raise funds for local fire and emergency medical services.
The tournament costs $140 per player or $460 per four-person team, including breakfast tacos, lunch, and drinks, alongside Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin competitions. All event proceeds directly support PVES volunteer equipment and operational needs.
Lake Texoma Late-Summer Entertainment
Lake Texoma venues are also featuring a slate of late-summer family and musical events:
- Discover Texie Cruise: Lighthouse Resort & Marina hosts a 1.5-hour family story cruise across Lake Texoma searching for "Texie The Dragon," the official lake mascot, departing from 300 Lighthouse Drive in Pottsboro.
- The Island Bar & Grill Lineup: Highport Marina hosts live outdoor performances, including Honcho The Band on August 29, 380 Acoustics on September 4, and Penny and the Flamethrowers Rockabilly night on September 18.
