VALLEY VIEW, Texas — Cooke County Emergency Management and the Fire Marshal’s Office say ongoing water-system repair work in Valley View affects only customers on the city’s municipal water system.
In a public Facebook update, the office said it continues to monitor the situation and is ready to give the city outside help if local officials ask for it. The post stresses again that the repair notice is limited to the Valley View municipal system.
What is not yet public in the county post
The county message does not list street-by-street outages, a boil-water order, a repair schedule, a contractor name or an estimated return to normal service. Without those details, residents should not assume a countywide water emergency or that rural water-supply corporation customers are included.
People who need service-status details should contact the city of Valley View utilities office or watch city channels for any official drinking-water notice. If the city issues a boil-water notice, that order — not the county’s monitoring post — is the instruction that governs tap water use.
County emergency managers often post corridor alerts when a small city is working a line break or plant issue so neighboring areas know whether they are included. Based on the Fire Marshal’s wording, customers outside the Valley View municipal system are not part of this repair event.
