TCOG offers support programs for families with special needs children

Texoma Council of Governments continues to provide specialized support services for families with children and young adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities or are neurodivergent.

SHERMAN — Texoma Council of Governments continues to provide specialized support services for families with children and young adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities or are neurodivergent. TCOG hosts regular support group meetings designed to connect families facing similar challenges and provide resources for navigating services and educational systems. The organization serves 14 counties in North Texas including Cooke County. The regional governmental organization coordinates programs addressing aging services, workforce development, economic development, and social services across the Texoma region. TCOG's governing board includes elected officials from member counties and municipalities. The council's executive officers and governing board meet regularly to oversee operations and approve funding allocations for regional initiatives.
