DENISON, Texas — Public agendas posted through July 15 show school districts and local boards entering budget, policy and leadership work. The entries below describe scheduled agenda items. They do not establish that any item was approved or otherwise enacted.
Upcoming agendas
The Denison ISD board is scheduled to meet July 21 at 6:30 p.m. Its agenda includes a possible date for a public hearing on the 2026-27 budget and proposed tax rate, review of the first budget draft, 2026 STAAR results, a STEM implementation grant and a policy update from the Texas Association of School Boards. The board also is scheduled to consider a National Journalism Conference item.
Collinsville ISD's July 20 agenda includes a proposal to publicly post a superintendent opening, along with proposed 2026-27 insurance coverage, policy updates, an appraisal calendar and list, credit-by-examination dates, meal prices and school-year meeting dates. Those are agenda items for the future meeting, not decisions already made.
Pottsboro ISD's July 15 special-meeting agenda listed possible action on accepting Superintendent Dr. Kevin Matthews' resignation, effective Aug. 31, and possible action on an acting or interim superintendent and a superintendent-search process. The posted agenda alone does not show what, if any, action the board took.
Earlier meetings: agendas, not results
Several source pages document meetings that had already occurred by July 15 but do not provide minutes or voting results. Grayson College's July 7 work session and regular-meeting agendas listed discussion of the proposed FY27 budget, Denison Main Campus renovation and residence-hall updates, regional security operations center services, and procedures for filling a board vacancy. The regular agenda also listed 2026-27 handbooks, a Foundation memorandum of understanding and reports on enrollment and college operations. The available agenda pages do not confirm board action.
Tom Bean ISD's July 13 agenda listed a new trustee's oath, 2026-27 appraisal materials, meal prices, district auditors, handbook discussions, a teacher salary schedule and personnel items. Grayson County Commissioners Court met July 14; its posted agenda listed a NextLink right-of-way permit on Ryker Lane, animal-control funding, a proposed road-maintenance agreement with Sherman, payments including health-program and employee-benefits items, and possible executive-session discussion of real-property purchase. The page does not provide minutes, so the agenda is not evidence that the court approved any of those matters.
Denison's Historic Preservation Board met July 7. Its agenda packet listed a Certificate of Appropriateness request for exterior work at 424 W. Main St. Staff recommended approving rear-railing replacement but not proposed painting or façade changes without further discussion and information. The packet contains no July 7 minutes, so no outcome is reported here.
